Here is the 3rd EP from Fairyport Convent. For this release, I wanted to imagine a London 1967-69 psych-out session with The Pink Floyd and Hawkwind joined by travelers in time and space, Butthole Surfers, and Chrome. That's for the sound aspect. In the lyrics there are allusions to science-fiction, space, and love, with track 4 title being a tribute to Welsh rockers, Budgie. "Baby Gun" is a track describing Germanisation and Lebensborn practices from a sci-fi perspective, the atrocity being presented in a surreal modern way, as if the crimes never happened and were only future's sick fables. "Logan's Run" is inspired by the titular 70s movie, which I loved watching as a kid. "London Smog / Mind Controllers" is about pollution, and mind control techniques implemented in advertising and modern society. Finally, the title track, "Ajax", is a psychedelic journey through hostile space where the astronaut is having nightmares and dreams of black empty cosmos as seen through his vehicle's window. 5 tracks of non-compromise psych-rock with other influences and sounds. W tym wydawnictwie chciałem wyobrazić sobie sesję psych-out w Londynie w latach 1967-69 z The Pink Floyd i Hawkwind, do których dołączają podróżnicy w czasie i przestrzeni, Butthole Surfers i Chrome. To dotyczy aspektu dźwiękowego. W tekstach znajdują się aluzje do science-fiction, kosmosu i miłości, a tytuł utworu 4 jest hołdem dla walijskich rockmanów, Budgie. „Baby Gun” to utwór opisujący germanizację i praktyki Lebensborn z perspektywy science-fiction, okrucieństwa przedstawione w surrealistyczny, nowoczesny sposób, jakby zbrodnie nigdy nie miały miejsca, a były tylko chorymi bajkami przyszłości. „Logan's Run” jest inspirowany tytułowym filmem z lat 70., który uwielbiałem oglądać jako dziecko. „London Smog / Mind Controllers” opowiada o zanieczyszczeniach i technikach kontroli umysłu wdrażanych w reklamie i nowoczesnym społeczeństwie. Wreszcie utwór tytułowy, „Ajax”, to psychodeliczna podróż przez nieprzyjazną przestrzeń, w której astronauta ma koszmary i marzenia o czarnym, pustym kosmosie widzianym przez okno swojego pojazdu. 5 utworów bezkompromisowego psychorocka z innymi wpływami i dźwiękami. Hot Ram is a great band . Loved "Where The Light Goes To Die". I'm not a big fan of rough vocals, which they incorporated into this album, so it's not sitting with me very well. I hope this was a one-time thing and they get back to their original sound. JimSim
