One man jam band mode 2021-2022 - 7 jams that never made it onto any Fairyport Convent release.

That doesn't mean they're inferior - in fact, the improvised nature of the sessions (even in the lyrics - most of Fairyport Convent lyrics are pre-written) means they show the true face of the man behind FC.

"Wyjątkowo Długi Szlug" is set to an old poem of mine written in the Górczyn high rise.

In fact, this whole EP is a return to my roots. I was smoking lots of weed, and, as mentioned in the interview with It's Psychedelic Baby:

"I’ve been listening to Nirvana, Butthole Surfers, a Polish noise rock band called Ewa Braun, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, stuff my father had on cassettes in his car. My first cassette was Black Sabbath’s ‘best of’ with a blue/gold cover – a pirate cassette ripped from original vinyl. It had selections from the first 5 albums on it. I was 12 or 13 when I bought it. Before that I’ve been watching TV a lot as a kid, and there was Viva Zwei – a popular German music channel – playing almost 24/7 in my house when I was not watching cartoons. Bands like Mouse on Mars, At the Drive In, Kyuss, Monster Magnet… live shows transmitted by Viva Zwei are my first vivid music memory."

Hard to believe 1998 was 25 years ago.
And pretty soon, on May 28 2023, Fairport Convent will have its 2nd birthday. Time flies!
