"Reach Out for the Music", the 7th Fairyport Convent EP is here! The title track is about music and musicians and also those among them that don't like music and "are only in it for the money". Maybe they should reach out for sound and try listen with open ears before they touch their instruments? The track was inspired by my jam sessions with so called "professionals". "Sun and Moon" is an improvisation captured in the morning after a whole night party at Rozbrat, the oldest squat in Poznań, Poland. Its lyrics were improvised as well, so they are not that good! "Gift of Illusion" is the second time Michalina Łuzińska appears on vocals on a Fairyport Convent release. This track was inspired by classic British psych of the 60s, and it is a tale about using illusion as a weapon, a weapon that always returns to power, no matter how strongly you fight against it, and it works against both sides of the human spectrum. "K2" is about resurrection and reincarnation, and about the Himalayas. It was inspired by some Italian punk band I've heard on cassette at a local punk party. Finally, "Do It", inspired by Hawkwind, is a short story about being honest in life and art, and how much it is important to actually "do it" and not only "think about it" when it comes to music and revolution. I hope you dig the EP, decide to download it, and have a good time listening to it! We ride on through the summer and well into autumn!
