Sinister Exaggerator This builds on an interesting mix of 60’s rock influences, most notably the SF acid rock scene, as well as maybe some of the proto-metal bands of that time. Might just be me but, there seems to be a kind of malevolent under-current to much of the proceedings and that just adds to the edge of the vocal delivery and the lyrics. Kind of like something from Syd Barrett’s more uneasy imaginary twin brother. It’s an interesting trip that rewards multiple listens. Favorite track: Desert Lady.

The time has come for the 5th Fairyport Convent EP! The seaside psych evenement of Fairyport Convent is in full bloom this summer, so this time we take you on a trip through the desert and love with "Desert Lady", inspired equally by Led Zeppelin and Butthole Surfers. "Rovers" is an Amon Duul II inspired track, telling the tale of cosmic beings landing on Planet Earth is our ancient past. "Partizan Underground" is a Hawkwind inspired track, about the underground conspiracists and guerillas. "Satan is Your Overlord" was a fun track to make, where I moved back to my 2001 roots in both the music and the lyrics, probably Black Sabbath and Blue Cheer were the main inspirations for this one. "Daze", which is the most psychedelic track in the whole set, was inspired by my acid trips, which weren't necessarily good. The music and lyrics try to translate the feeling into sound. I hope you have as much fun listening to the EP as I had recording it. Some of the lyrics are poetic to a certain degree, so it is good to read them as you listen! But it is not a necessity. After experimenting a bit on the "DNA" EP, with this one we are back to usual business. With the beautiful Ingrid Steeger (Ich, Ein Groupie) on the new EP cover we are guided by ghosts of the 60s space and krautrock.
